Philipp Arnet joined CFM partners in August 2016 as a Managing Partner coming from EY where he was a Partner and Head of the FSO Transaction Advisory Services business in Switzerland supporting large and mid-sized banks and insurance companies on their planning and execution of national and international M&A transactions. Philipp started his professional career in 1996 at PwC in the audit department followed by 13 years international M&A and corporated finance advisory at PwC in Zurich and London as well as at KPMG in Zurich.

Philipp advised on numerous M&A transactions and relating engagements in the financial services space in various jurisdictions, including Switzerland, Liechtenstein, UK, Channel Islands, Singapore, Germany, Austria, Italy or The Bahamas. His market and industry expertise include corporate and commercial banking, private banking and asset management, insurance, debt collection and fiduciary and trust services. Furthermore, Philipp has a proven track-record in transaction support/due diligence, company valuation, business planning and modelling, market entry and strategic options analysis as well as financial accounting.

Philipp is a Swiss Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and holds a BA in Economics and Business Administration. He speaks German, English and French.

Paul Huber joined CFM in November 2013 as advisor, coming from a Swiss M&A boutique where he had worked for over 10 years as a corporate finance professional responsible for client coverage and supporting all aspects of M&A projects from origination through to deal closing.

Previously, Paul had worked with Prognos AG in Basel, a consulting company, with Swiss Bank Corporation, and with IBFG AG, a consulting and research group in Basel and Zurich in which he became a partner and co-owner. In 1995 Paul joined Swiss Bank Corporation, where he worked on strategic and reorganisation projects, being active both as a project manager and as a line manager, including during the merger SBC-UBS. In 1999 he joined UBS’ strategic initiative for the development of its local private banking franchises in countries other than Switzerland as business manager and project manager, acquiring broad expertise on wealth management markets across the globe. Paul advised on numerous M&A transactions in the financial services space in various jurisdictions, including Switzerland, Luxembourg or The Bahamas.

Paul graduated from the University of Basel with a degree in economic history. He is fluent in German, English, French and Italian.

Paul Huber joined CFM in November 2013 as advisor, coming from a Swiss M&A boutique where he had worked for over 10 years as a corporate finance professional responsible for client coverage and supporting all aspects of M&A projects from origination through to deal closing.

Marco Brunner has been with CFM partners since 2014. He originally joined the company as Analyst directly after university and has meanwhile been promoted to Director. Prior to joining CFM, Marco worked part time (during his studies) at Credit Suisse for more than 3 years as a junior project manager. Before taking up his studies, Marco gained his first working experience as an audit assistant at Intercontrol AG, an audit & consulting company in Zurich.

At CFM, Marco worked on numerous M&A transactions and corporate finance projects in the field of financial services in Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Germany, Luxembourg and the Bahamas. Among others, his track record includes successful transactions such as the sale of HSBC’s Switzerland Latin American private banking business to Banco Santander (Switzerland) or the acquisition of the Swiss based private banking business of FIBI Bank Switzerland from CBH Compagnie Bancaire Helvétique. Moreover, he supported the successful recapitalisation and debt restructuring of LumX Group, formerly known as Gottex Fund Management Holding. Additionally, Marco has conducted several buy and sell side financial Due Diligences, company valuations, strategic option analysis as well as market and industry researches.

Marco holds a Master’s degree in Banking & Finance from the Zurich University of Applied Sciences. He is fluent in German and English.

Josef Lehner joined CFM partners in September 2013 and is currently Director. Prior to CFM, Josef was an intern at Credit Suisse AG, where he served as assistant for relationship managers and investment consultants as well as in the tax department. Moreover, during his Master studies he founded Quick Start GmbH in 2010.

During his time at CFM, Josef worked on many M&A transactions for banks and independent asset managers, particularly in Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Germany, Luxembourg and the Bahamas. His track record includes among several buy side deals also successful sellside transactions, such as two HSBC mandates, the sale of the NORD/LB depositary bank and a Liechtenstein-based bank. Moreover, he has experience in the field of buy side and sell side financial due diligence, company valuation, business planning and modelling as well as strategic options analysis.

He started his professional career at UBS where he spent 10 years in various finance and M&A functions.

Frenk’s market and industry expertise include private, commercial and retail banking, asset management, brokerage, debt-collection, trust and fiduciary services. In addition, he has extensive knowledge in due diligence support, company valuation, business planning and strategic advisory as well as financial accounting and controlling and the development of MIS systems. Frenk advised on numerous strategic and M&A transactions in the financial services industry including Switzerland, the US, Austria, Germany, France, Italy, Channel Islands, Monaco, UK, the Middle East and Asia.

Frenk holds a Master in Economics from the University of Basel and an Executive MBA from the Rochester University. He is fluent in German, English and Italian.

Kearney as manager in the financial institutions group responsible for the execution of several projects in Germany, Switzerland, Russia and Bahrain in 2008 and 2009. His relevant corporate finance know how is the result of several years in banking with WestLB M&A and equity investment in Dusseldorf and London. Before this, Christioph was as Director responsible for the senior coverage of equity sponsors and other intermediaries, after having advised for more than 8 years in international M&A mid cap transactions. He started his M&A career as analyst at BHF-BANK AG, Frankfurt, and Charterhouse, New York. Previously he had completed the Investment Banking Trainee Program of Commerzbank in Frankfurt.
